When a person or entity not a party to a contract disturbs or interferes with the performance of a contract, a claim for tortious interference of a contract may exist. In order to pursue this type of claim, one must be able to establish that the interfering party knew of the existence of a contract; the interfering party intentionally committed an act to prevent the contracted parties from performing their duties under the contract; and the interfernece caused damage to one or more of the parties to the contract. If you believe a contract you are a party to has been interfered with, contact our office to discuss your options.
