Identifying, addressing and combating issues of safety, health and welfare, which jeopardize children

Law School Closing Argument Competition: In 1999, The Landskroner Foundation for Children held its first Law School Closing Argument competition. Law students from law schools across the state are selected to give a closing argument based on a child injury case. The jury is composed of members of the media, experienced plaintiff and defense lawyers and lay persons. Scholarship awards are given to the winners

"Love A Kid, Lock A Gun" Campaign: In 2000, The Landskroner Foundation for Children has sought to raise awareness of the dangers of guns in the home. Too many children have been catastrophically injured and/or killed when guns have been left unsecured and accessible to children. The Foundation has acquired gunlocks, which we are distributing to the general public to promote responsibility in homes where guns are maintained.

Kids Rock : Y2K has brought a new neighborhood outreach program to the Foundation. In an attempt to provide children with an appreciation of their community, and to demonstrate that hard work can be fun, this new effort is a reward-based program involving bi-monthly Saturday morning community cleanups. The Kid's Rock program promotes citizenship and pride in the community
